More December Pics

We had a MAJOR snowstorm this weekend and got nearly 23 inches in the city of Philadelphia, slightly less in the suburbs where we live. Either way, it is a lot of snow and we are NOT prepared. None of us own boots, or snowpants, but thankfully we did all just buy warm coats! We couldn't let Lily miss this beautiful snow so upon the advice of a seasoned parent (my mom) we wrapped Lily up in grocery bags, tied with tape, and went outside to play! Enjoy the pictures!

November/December Update!

The Fagan's have officially become northerners again! We have had much excitement and change in the last few months so here is an update: Shawn accepted a job working in the Athletic Department at Temple University in Philadelphia, Jane is working at Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness in Jenkintown PA, and Lily now attends The Beth Sholom Goldman Preschool! We absolutely LOVE being back in the northeast, and yes that includes the near 2 feet of snow we got over the last 2 days!! Philadelphia has so much to offer and we have started to explore the food, culture, city life, train, neighborhoods etc. Lily got her first haircut at "Wiggle Worms Haircut Studio." She did great, and wiggled just enough for the hairdressere to have to spin around her constantly. Lily is running around all the time, climbing up on the furniture, and eating with her spoon and fork marvelously! She loves to say "OK", "hello" (which used to be just "hi"), "juice", "water". She mimicks everything, her vocabulary is expanding daily, and it is so cute!
We visited the Woodstock grandparents for Thanksgiving and then traveled to Boston to see Great Grandpa Stanley. Lily helped Stan with his walker to make sure he was safe! We have celebrated Chanukah and look forward to Christmas this week, when we will drive to visit with the Long Island Grandparents!

First Train Ride

So we are settling in here in Philly and went into the city for the first time with Lily on the train. She had a great time on the train, at the Reading Terminal Market, and strolling through various tourist attractions. She ate noodle kugel for the first time, has great lox and bagels weekly, and has enjoyed being outside in her new backyard. Shawn is really enjoying his "commuter" title, taking the train to work everyday, and I started work this week at a great PT clinic 3 minutes from my house! Lily started daycare and I have learned to pack a Kosher lunch! She is adjusting to a new routine slowly and has had some rough days and nights, partly testing out her ability to get us to do what she wants with a loud cry! We are seeing faint reminders of sleepless nights on ocassion but she'll get the hang of it again. We are happy to be here, and welcome all visitors wanting to check out our great new city...or just to spend time with us!

September and October 2009

I haven't posted in a while, and will hopefully get more pictures of our new home in Philadelphia! Here are a few pictures of our fall in Nashville. We are beginning to settle into our cozy house in Elkins Park, PA which is a short 15 min train ride for Shawn to Temple University. I am still job hunting and daycare hunting but hope to get myself settled soon too. We will keep you posted!

August Trips!!

We took a week long vacation in August to visit New York and Boston. Lily had so much fun with her cousins Julia and Tyler, and loved having a sleepover with the DiMartinos! Lily also spent some time in Boston with her Great Grandpa Stanley, who enjoyed her every move. Uncle Eric flew out from California, we had a couple of days with Uncle Dick and Aunt Usun, Uncle Harvey and Aunt Anne, Aunt Karen, and some special time in Woodstock with Grandma Denise, Grandpa Dick and Grandma Susan. Uncle Booch even came up for a day-what a treat to see her godfather. Lily turned 1 year old just before this trip, August 6th, and she is loving every minute of it. She is talking and eating like crazy...she doesn't stop, seriously. She is almost walking, she stands alone and takes one or two steps and then falls down laughing so hard. She is really funny, taking after her Uncle Eric most definately. Enjoy the next few posts of pictures from these special times! Love you all.

Family Visit

We had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa just before Memorial Day, they came to help out for the week! Not only did they have a blast with Lily going to the park, the farmer's market, and singing and playing the guitar but Uncle Eric came too! As you can see, laundry basket rides were just the beginning of the fun they had!

9 months old!

Lily has reached her 9th month! She is always laughing and smiling, and loves every minute of every day! Rarely do we hear a cry or a fuss, and she is always having a great time at everything she does! Lily is now over 18 lbs and eating 3 meals a day with her 4 teeth, trying her best to put each morsel IN her mouth and not on her chest, lap, hair, or the floor. She loves to stand and stomp her feet, actually one foot like she's at a hoe-down! Lily has taken after her mom and hasn't crawled yet but she manages to make her way from end to end of a room by squirming, rolling, creeping, and pushing. She has also mastered her jack-in-the-box toy, opening and closing the doors over and over. Lily went to her first baseball game, the Nashville Sounds to see daddy's old teammate Russ play. They were giving out kids size bats and Lily held onto hers the WHOLE game! This week she has started waving bye-bye too! Please enjoy some 9 month pictures!
