Grandpa and Grandma came for a long visit, and we had a wonderful time! Grandpa, of course, jiggled and squiggled Lily until she was so excited she cried. He told her jokes and stories, making her laugh. Grandma offered tons of great advice, fed and diapered alongside me, and is a great song singer and book reader. They really enjoyed seeing Lily for the first time since she was born, really getting to know her personality...And she getting to know them! We even tried some new sleep rituals that I would not have had the insight or emotional strength to do if they weren't here! It is great to have time with each Grandparent (Tom, Denise, Susan, Dick) so they can share in Lily's joy of life. We are excited about our trip to NY for Thanksgiving, to visit all our friends and family.

I am 2 months old!!! Lily has been doing soooo much growing and changing that we can't keep up! She is smiling all the time now, and makes a squeeling noise if she is really excited! She loves when we hold up our fingers and count 1-2-3!, she also loves to stare at any doll's face, especially if the doll has a smile-it makes her smile. She still really loves her bath time and she is sleeping much more at night. She actually had a week where she was sleeping through the night (6-7 hours straight) but she is again waking us up at night...she must be growing, again!
Lily had her 2 month well baby visit this week. She is 11 lbs, 1 oz and 22 3/4 inches long! The pediatrician was so pleased at how she is growing. She also had her first shot. I was more upset that it was about to happen than she was, because she had no idea! She cried for a few seconds and I comforted her immediately, she did really great! and I am saving the bandaid!
We'll keep you updated with some more video soon.
